 Admission Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized Veterinary Assistant Diploma Program or have minimum 1 year working experience in the industry
- Non-graduates will require successful completion of a skills & abilities test, including math and English assessment
- Grade 12, G.E.D., Mature Student Status
- A pre - admission application and interview
- Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Record Search

West Coast College is now enrolling for our new Veterinary Assistant Large Animal Specialty Program!
If you want to work with large animals in the veterinary industry this program is for you!
The Program is open to Veterinary Assistants who have graduated from a recognized diploma program or who have been working in the industry for more than one year.
 The twelve week program includes a preceptorship and clinical practicum. The focus will be on equine and bovine with additional information incorporating porcine, caprine, ovine and camelid species.
